What to do after a rideshare crash
A short checklist you can follow today.

Right away
- Call 911 if anyone is hurt, and ask for a police report.
- Photograph the cars, plates, the scene and any rideshare stickers.
- Get names and phone numbers of drivers and witnesses.
- Screenshot the trip in the app.
The next few days
- See a doctor and follow the treatment plan.
- Keep receipts, bills and missed-work notes.
- Report the crash in the app, briefly and factually.
- Don't give a recorded statement to another driver's insurer.
Getting the police report
In the city of Atlanta, crashes are often handled by the Atlanta Police Department; on interstates, by the Georgia State Patrol or county police. Keep the report number from the officer. We can get the report for you.
Call early. Trip data, nearby video and witness memories fade fast. A free call costs you nothing.
